Z.ai

12 models built · 11 served

Z.ai is the trading name of Zhipu AI, a Tsinghua-spinoff lab founded in 2019 that listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in January 2026. The lab builds the GLM model family, and on OpenKey you get 12 of them, from the older GLM 4.5 line through GLM 4.6, GLM 4.7, and the current GLM 5-series (5, 5 Turbo, 5.1, 5.2, 5V Turbo). Z.ai iterates fast — roughly a new GLM release every one to two months since mid-2025 — and covers both plain text and multimodal (image/video-to-text) variants. None of their 12 models are free; all are priced per-token through OpenKey's standard 3% markup over provider list price.

Lineup

For general work, GLM 5.2 (released June 2026) is the newest and cheapest of the GLM 5-series flagships at $0.93/M input and $3.00/M output from the provider — $0.9579/M and $3.09/M on OpenKey after the 3% fee ($0.93 x 1.03, $3.00 x 1.03). It also has the largest context window in the lineup at 1,048,576 tokens. If you need multimodal input, GLM 5V Turbo ($1.20/M in, $4.00/M out) handles text, image, and video. For cheap high-volume text tasks, GLM 4.7 Flash is the budget pick at $0.06/M input and $0.40/M output. GLM 4.5 Air ($0.13/M in, $0.85/M out) is a solid lower-cost fallback if you don't need GLM 5-series capability.

Questions

What's the price range across Z.ai's models on OpenKey?
